Perth Audio Conversion to CD

Before the rise of digital photography just a few years ago, traditional photography meant that the most common way to archive your photos was in a cardboard box.

Unfortunately physical storage of images like this, even in a carefully temperature and moisture controlled environment will eventually lead to image degradation. It's inevitable that one day your photos slides and negatives will deteriorate. The emulsions of the negatives and slides and chemicals of the photographic paper are inherently prone to breakdown.

The best format for conversion to digital (CD, DVD or hard drive) is the slides and negatives, rather than the printed photos. The negatives / slides should be seen as the source material and are capable of significantly better image output.

We scan slides and negatives at a default resolution of 4,000dpi, while printed photos are scanned at 600dpi - the printed photos don't contain the same level of contrast, resolution or colour density to warrant any higher resolution.

In the world of digital image conversions, The process outside of the actual scanning is almost as critical as the actual scan. Every image we transfer is first inspected and if necessary cleaned (compressed air and if required, an antistatic solution for negatives / slides). After cleaning and scanning, we undertake colour correction, Digital Ice (used to remove scratches, dust marks etc)

We cater for any any job size from any clients and pride ourselves on our personalised service.
